  1. Carmen and Lupita spell it out about what it is like to be immigrants in the USA. They moved to Cleveland when they were 2 years old, and they are now 20, so they have been in America 18 years, almost their whole lives. They are studying and want to be vets or something in animal husbandry because they love animals, especially cows. The only time I have seen either one shed a tear was when Carmen talked about how they thought their father would be deported, and Lupita cried, but then caught herself.

    1. They’re right – they both look their prettiest in black and grey. Lupita looks more Native American than Carmen.

FYI, the crowd was chasing the killer because he had just murdered someone.
And then he murdered yet another “in self-defence”…..
As for rioting, it really took off *after* the double murder.
Both Tucker Carlson at Fox and Donald Trump cheerfully lie and misrepresent what happened.

    1. They are Just like true nazis, their fascist coalition partners, who carried swastikas in Charlottesville.

Trump read Hitler’s speeches & made up a layered lie with wiggle room that he didn’t. He can rely on Jews for expertise, give his daughter to one, go to Israel & support Israel’s right wing fascists who suppressed Israel’s left wing peace movement, go to any length to hide who his greatest teacher is, but the smoking gun proof is still there. See Takeaway #4. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2015/08/donald-trump-marie-brenner-ivana-divorce

Prove Trump is a fascist to his supporters, since he follows the most infamous of fascists & following Trump, they are too. They have no answer or divert the argument. Is that not a sign of hypnosis, of induced psychosis, such as Hitler, history’s greatest demagogue used?

    1. There actually is precedent for this one, namely the private fire department owned by one Mr. Crassus in Rome. If a house caught fire and its owner did not already subscribe to his services, Crassus would negotiate a deal on the spot (from a position of strength, obviously), and this practice made him a very wealthy man. The English word “crass” is derived from his name.

  3. Oh, for fucks sake… Trump is now saying the opposition to him is run by ‘shadow men’, by people whose names you have never known.
Seriously, isn’t the ‘cancer man’ from The X File getting a bit long in the tooth* by now for that shit?

    *(just like Trump and Biden)

  4. Arranging signing new employment contract, which has been emailed to me to check. Yeah, fine. Is it OK if I print it, sign it, scan signed copy and email it back? HR lady says ‘a wet signature would be better, so please come to the office to sign.’ So never mind all of those office rules aimed at avoiding infection, permitting working from home and all that stuff; HR are still operating in the Dickensian era. We even still have a fax machine.

So now I need to try find a quill and a pot of ink. Or maybe a calligraphy brush and an ink stone.

Perhaps I could just sign the thing with a felt tipped pen and then piss on it, with her as a witness.
